I bought the following items from Pier I. An oil diffuser and two of the bottled scented oils.

I came home, put the bottle into the diffuser in my son's bathroom. I began to smell the scent really strong and thought perhaps I could control the amount. I walked into the bathroom to find the bottle of oil completely empty, on the floor, some had dripped onto the wall which had just been freshly painted.It ruined the paint. The floor is marble so there was no damage on that part.

It did take some of the finish off the wood baseboard which is walnut. I went back the very next day with the receipt, the full bottle and the diffuser. I had thrown the empty bottle out as it was really strong. The casher "Jackie" didn't seem to care or understand that I was really upset as the diffuser itself had become very hot.

This item could be dangerous. I explained my concern and she just handed me back the receipt with the credit. I emailed the customer contact address listed and have heard nothing. I then placed a call to the corporate office in Ft.

Worth and left a message. Again, nothing.

I have purchased other items from Pier I, most recently before the diffuser, a silver colored headboard. After this experience and no concern on the part of the company, I will not shop here again.

You expose your child to material which strips finish from walnut overnight ?

Then you expected a pity party from the cashier ?

Quit poisoning your child's environment with this garbage. Scented products of many sorts create and aggravate many pediatric breathing issues.
