Pier 1 Imports - Credit Card Scam
My wife purchased an item. She paid cash.
The clerk told her they had a card to collect points and she signed up. She didn't know it was a Credit Card. The clerk took the money, then applied the same purchase to the credit card. A cool way to embezzle the customer.
However, the receipt does show the purchase as a charge to the Credit Card.
Pier 1 doesn't acknowledge. Their books should show an overage that day or the clerk is definitely a "CROOK". BEWARE OF THE PIER 1 PURCHASING AND SIGNING UP FOR THEIR CREDIT CARD.
I have personally decided to never do business with them again (Louisville, S. Hurstbourne store).
Reason of review: Unethical store clerks (Thieves).
Monetary Loss: $20.
Pier 1 Imports Cons: Did not fix issue, Customer service did not fix issues, Are unethical.
Location: Louisville, Kentucky

She must have given her social!! Which in real in life is a credit card unless you have no common sense!!! Just saying!!
When applying for a Pier 1 Rewards Credit Card not only do you need to give the sales associate your license, but your wife needed to give her Social Security # also.
On top of this, since your wife got approved, a slip of paper from the receipt printer would have popped out out saying 'Temporary Shopping Pass', her credit limit, and her Card #.
She would have also needed to sign the pin pad after the sales associate put the purchase through a second time.
Your wife is one *** of an oblivious person!
